Traceability Technician

Position Overview:

Oversees the collection of work in progress and completed work through GPS data collected from each job site, making sure work is compliant with installation and safety standards. Manages the process with a focus on safety, compliance, efficiency, cost management, and innovation. Essential Functions:

• Utilizes sensor-based data collection equipment to increase data integrity

• Standardize the collection of data for the company and reporting

• Collects GPS data and records the barcode for equipment used in projects

• Ability to manage daily work in progress and previous WIP activities

• Complete and submit required reports and project data daily

• Plan and always efficiently execute projects without direct oversight

• Coordinates activities with the field Foreman and Supervisors

• Assist with project tasks as required

• Adhere to and enforce safety standards

• Comfortable working regularly in all weather elements

• Clean driving record

• This position requires a lot of walking outdoors

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Related technical education or experience is a plus.

Experience: Knowledge or experience using GIS and mapping software, such as Locus View or Trimble R8 programs. Proficient in creating reports using MS Excel. Highly proficient in working with a diverse team of individuals in a field environment. A clean driving record is required to fulfill this position’s daily expectations.
