Position Overview:

Southeast Connections, LLC provides inclusive infrastructure solutions for the natural gas industry. The Area Manager provides leadership and direction to construction crews, rendering hands-on assistance. This position is accountable for all aspects of each project to which crews are assigned and is responsible for the field operations, customer relations, and business development in an assigned area, territory, customer, or project. The Area Manager oversees all the operations with a focus on safety, compliance, efficiency, cost management, and innovation while ensuring all company procedures are followed and compliance is maintained relative to all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Champion own safety by modeling behaviors, maintaining a drug-free work environment, and performing corrective action when appropriate.

• Serve as a point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Manage and oversee the execution of field deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements.

• Manage the planning and executing of projects and contracts by organizing work methods and developing schedules.

• Manage cost control, margin expectations, productivity, change orders, and equipment reporting.

• Manage and develop labor and employee relations.

• Develop and maintain business relationships including attending customer meetings and preparing pre-qualification documents, proposals, and bids.

• Maintain liaison with operations to ensure all required materials and equipment support project activities and schedule.

• Ensure all project work is compliant with installation standards and is being performed safely and correctly.

• Directly responsible for managing office functions and personnel.

• Exercise decision-making authority.

• Promote and monitor the safety of team members.

• Oversee field support analyst in a particular area.

• Assist Regional Manager, as necessary.

Qualifications/Special Knowledge Skills:

• Strong knowledge regarding the operations, safety, and maintenance of equipment being used.

• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of managers and staff. Strong interpersonal skills to manage various personalities and conflicts.

• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and drive growth initiatives.

• Ability to direct work and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of coworkers.

• Proficiency in analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes.

• Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues that arise in daily operations and implement effective solutions.

• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and improving customer satisfaction.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with relevant industry-specific software or ERP systems.

• Understanding of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Ability to adjust strategies and approaches based on changing business needs and external conditions.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure operational processes are followed and standards are met.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or other related fields. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

• Minimum seven (7) years of environmental construction and replacement experience within the infrastructure industry.

• Valid Driver's license.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

• Able and willing to work long hours including day, night, and weekend shifts as needed, and work outside of

normal hours.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Able to walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 15 pounds frequently.

• Ability to travel as needed.
