Water

Open cutting a new water main in a rural area rarely creates a problem. However, when open cutting streets, high end neighborhoods, or high traffic downtown areas, the time and money spent on restoration traffic control quickly exceed the cost of the pipe. Open cut may not even be an option due to access or permitting issues. This is where SEC, Inc. can help.

water11.jpgWe specialize in the trenchless installation of ductile iron pipe, pvc pipe, HDPE, and steel pipe from ¾” to 36” in diameter. Bores can be in excess of 1,000’ if necessary. Pull pits and receiving pits can be located at cut in and connection points. Services, hydrants, and valves can be inserted as needed. Production is typically twice that of open cut methods due to the elimination of restoration issues. Our cost is usually less for the same reason. Even in a standard subdivision our costs are competitive with open cut.

We can provide design consultation as well as specifications and requirements to supplement your technical specifications.
